Pedestrian in an Arden-Arcade Accident Dies in Crash With Vehicle

A motorist driving a Tesla killed a pedestrian in an Arden-Arcade accident in Sacramento County on January 31. The collision occurred near the Marconi Avenue intersection with Eastern Avenue at about 8:50 p.m., as reported by the California Highway Patrol (CHP). A spokesperson for the CHP said that the Tesla was going west along Marconi Avenue when the female pedestrian was struck. She was crossing the street at the time. The Tesla driver remained at the accident scene as the investigation by the CHP traffic crash detectives was carried out.

Negligence Leading to the Fatality of a Pedestrian in an Arden-Arcade Accident

Traffic collisions occur at intersections more than half the time, including a pedestrian in an Arden-Arcade accident. Since traffic congregates from many directions at these locations, pedestrians and bicycle riders further complicate matters. Crossing intersections safely is essential for road users to avoid the involvement of a pedestrian in an Arden-Arcade accident. It is possible for serious collisions to occur as a result of negligence and other factors. Intersection crashes are often caused by the following:

  • Intersection crashes are most likely to occur when a driver runs a red light.
  • Speeding at an intersection puts drivers in danger of hitting another vehicle, bike rider, or pedestrian because they will not slow down or stop in time.
  • Drunk drivers often cause serious accidents at intersections due to their poor judgment, lowered reflexes, and difficulty tracking with their eyes. Thus, drivers under the influence of alcohol pose a danger to others on the road.
  • Because of vehicles waiting at the crosswalk, it is risky to make a right turn without seeing to the left.
  • An accident involving oncoming traffic can occur if the left turn is made before the arrow changes.
  • Accidents at intersections can result from road negligence. A government entity is usually responsible for maintenance. In order for your government claim to be heard, you have six months to file it. Having the paperwork filed properly can be assured by hiring an accident attorney.
