Major Trauma Sustained In Motorcycle Collision Near Marysville

On Wednesday, September 16, 2020, a motorcycle collision near Marysville left at least one person with major injuries. California Highway Patrol (CHP) responded to the accident and reported that it took place in the afternoon. Additionally, CHP indicated that this crash involved three vehicles, including the motorcycle. The cause of the accident remains under investigation at this time.

Collision Details

The accident occurred at approximately 3:30 p.m. on the northbound side of Highway 70 near Erle Road just south of Marysville. According to police, the collision involved a Black Jeep Compass as well as a motorcycle of unidentified make and model and a third vehicle that had been carrying a load of furniture. The specific details of the events leading up to the crash have not yet been reported. However, police stated that the crash caused major damage to vehicles and spilled furniture across northbound highway lanes.

Response

Police received a phone call reporting the crash and immediately dispatched response officials. Responders reaching the location discovered that at least one person had suffered serious injuries and called for an ambulance. Medical responders arrived at the crash site at around 3:37 p.m. and confirmed major injuries had been sustained before transporting injured parties to emergency care centers. Updates on the condition(s) of the injured individual(s) have not yet been reported.

Investigation

The northbound side of the highway was blocked off to traffic for around an hour while workers removed roadway debris and police conducted preliminary investigations of the scene. However, police have not yet indicated what factors they suspect, if any, to have been involved in this serious crash. In many cases, collisions happen due to more than one factor. Common factors include non-driver causes like defective motorcycle parts and dangerous highways.

Recovering from an Accident Injury

People that suffer injuries during auto accidents can suffer major injuries. These injuries often have a dramatic impact on the lives of survivors. Often, the road to recovery is long, and the process can take months or years. Furthermore, recovery can be stressful, as well as physically painful, and frequently requires extensive medical care. This care can involve invasive surgeries, long-term physical therapy, and much more.

All of the necessary medical costs can add up quickly, and many crash survivors are unsure of how they’ll afford the care that they need to regain their health. Sadly, this issue can be made even worse if your injury has had an impact on your ability to perform your job, resulting in a serious and sudden loss of income.

Getting Help

Thankfully, crash survivors can reach out for assistance. By contacting an attorney and filing an injury claim, many people are able to obtain compensation that fully covers their medical expenses. Additionally, injury claim compensation also frequently provides payments for lost income, personal suffering, damaged vehicles, and more.
