Two-Vehicle Highway Crash Occurs Near Fruitridge Road On-Ramp

A two-vehicle highway crash in Sacramento recently resulted in minor injuries. The crash occurred around 8:24 a.m. along northbound State Route 99 just north of the eastbound Fruitridge Road on-ramp, according to the California Highway Patrol (CHP) accident report. A Jeep and Chevy SUV were involved in the crash, which blocked the number two lane.

Investigation Being Conducted to Determine Fault in Highway Crash

A tow truck was called to remove at least one of the vehicles. An investigation is being conducted to determine which driver was at fault. No information on whether those injured were treated at the accident scene or transported to a hospital for additional evaluation was provided.

Minor Injuries Can Sometimes Lead to Major Traumas

In a two-vehicle highway crash or other type of injury, delayed symptoms are common. In the first moments after a collision, the adrenaline released by the body does not necessarily allow pain to be felt by those involved. It is possible for symptoms to appear and worsen days or even months after the initial occurrence. A traumatic brain injury, herniated disc, internal bleeding or organ damage can be caused by some of them, which require immediate medical attention.

After a Two-Vehicle Crash, What Can I Do to Protect My Injury Claim?

It’s always a good idea to get checked out by a doctor after a two-vehicle highway crash, even if you believe you weren’t hurt. As a result, a physician is able to identify any potential problems and establish that you have been injured. The at-fault party’s insurance company might claim that you were injured in a different way or that the trauma was the result of a previous illness otherwise.

An Accident Attorney’s Role in Recovering Compensation for Clients

Accident attorneys help injured people obtain compensation for their injuries caused by another’s negligence in a two-vehicle highway crash. The first step they can take is to investigate your case in order to gather the evidence you need to support your injury claim. Moreover, they can gather documents and evidence to prove that you have suffered a financial loss as a result of the injury caused by the at-fault individual.

Your Injury Lawyer Will Calculate Your Compensation

The lawyer can calculate all medical expenses incurred as a result of your accident. Adding the cost of future medical care to your compensation claim can be done if your injury is expected to last into the future. Loss of earnings is handled in a similar way if you are unable to work. Bonuses, pensions, insurance benefits and other items are also included in lost wages. For pain and suffering, your lawyer will consult experts to calculate the amount you should receive.
