A major injury accident occurred along Highway 12 in Isleton on August 12 when several big rigs collided. According to the report by the California Highway Patrol (CHP), the accident happened at about 7:20 in the morning along the westbound side of the highway between Terminous Road and Jackson Slough Road near Rio Vista. The man injured in the accident had to be extricated from his vehicle by the Rio Vista Fire Department. He was airlifted to a hospital for further evaluation and treatment. Both sides of the highway were closed to traffic due to the collision and weren’t expected to reopen until after 11:00 a.m.
