Multiple-Vehicle Crash on Southbound Hazel Avenue
An intersection traffic accident injury was reported in Rancho Cordova on August 2 following a multiple-vehicle crash on southbound Hazel Avenue. The collision occurred shortly before 6:30 in the evening at the intersection of Hazel Avenue and Gold Country Boulevard. According to the accident report by the California Highway Patrol (CHP), it involved a Jeep Grand Cherokee and two additional vehicles, which blocked the middle lane. Sac Metro Fire emergency responders arrived at the scene and determined that the injuries suffered in the crash were minor. The CHP is investigating to determine what caused the collision and to assign fault.

Intersections are often the site of motor vehicle accidents. This is due to the complexity of the intersection where cars, pedestrians, motorcycles, and bicyclists converge at the same time. Aside from that, two or more roads enter into the intersection and offer a number of maneuvers such as turning left and right as well as proceeding through the crossroads.
