 Old Sacramento State Historic Park

Topping out list is the Old Sacramento State Historic Park. Built in 1849 this is the perfect place for a history buff or for anyone who wishes that they could take a step back in time. With a riverboat and an amazing museum this is a great place to bring the whole family. They also offer many different tours throughout the day that can help you get the most out of your experience. Also, this is the perfect place for all of you train buffs out there because there will be plenty for you to see in the museum and gift shop. There is even a private karaoke room that you can rent out to have a little extra fun with your friends.

Sutter’s Fort

Keeping with historic places comes Sutters Fort. This restored 1840s fort is a great place to learn more about the California Gold Rush which has a lot to do with why Sacramento is the way that it is today. This is a great place to go if you are interested in learning a little more about local history. There are guided and self-guidedtours so that you can move at your own pace as well.

 B Street Theatre

If you were hoping for something a little bit more upbeat, the B Street Theatre might be more up your alley. It is a great place to see the newest plays or watch some of the classics. It is not very expensive and it is a great way to fit some art and culture into your trip without breaking the bank.It is a very small theatre, but that does not take anything away from it, in fact it makes it into a much more intimate experience. It has a very cozy atmosphere to it which can make you feel like you are the only one there watching this play with your loved ones. And they offer a huge variety of plays so there is sure to be something for everyone.

For the art lover in the group there is the Crocker Art Museum. This museum is set in a beautiful old building that is almost just as beautiful as the art itself. It is a great way to spend a day looking at great art or taking a tour and learning about your favorite artists or art pieces. They have some really famous pieces on display which always makes for an interesting experience to see something in real life that you have only ever before seen in photographs.

 California Auto Museum

Last on our list is the California Auto Museum, Obviously, if cars are what makes you tick, and then this is the place for you. Here you will find old, rare, and expensive cars and be able to get a closer look at them. They also offer many different events like car shows and have rotation exhibits. The bottom line is that whether you are interested in art or automobiles or history or shopping, Sacramento, California has it all. There is something for everyone no matter who you are or how old you are. More than anything else it is a great place to bring the whole family to make memories that you are never going to forget. There are so many different places that are suitable for all ages because it is no fun going to a place that only offers adult entertainment. Sacramento keeps the perfect balance of having places that are fun for adults, like the underground private karaoke bar, and things that are fun for children, like the zoo and its touch tanks.
