Fatal Motorcycle Crash on Highway 99 in Yuba City Under Investigation

A fatal motorcycle crash on Highway 99 in Yuba City on the morning of Wednesday, July 30, 2025, claimed the life of a 62-year-old man from Live Oak in Sutter County. According to a report from the California Highway Patrol’s Yuba-Sutter office, the fatal incident happened around 8:45 a.m. at the intersection of Highway 99 and Bogue Road, located at the southern edge of Yuba City.

The collision occurred when a white Nissan Rogue, traveling southbound on Highway 99, attempted a left turn onto Bogue Road and struck a black Harley-Davidson motorcycle heading north.

The impact caused the motorcyclist to be thrown from the bike, resulting in severe injuries. He was transported to a local hospital, where he was later pronounced deceased. His identity has not yet been released.

The 65-year-old driver of the Nissan suffered minor injuries, while a 33-year-old passenger reported no injuries. Both occupants of the SUV were taken to the hospital by a friend for evaluation. The CHP stated that neither drugs nor alcohol appear to be factors in the crash, which remains under investigation.
