On Sunday, November 24, 2019, police arrested a man suspected of being involved in a Napa hit-and-run collision. The accident happened shortly before the arrest on a local highway south of the city of Napa. Updates on his condition have not yet been provided, but medical officials indicated that the injuries were not life-threatening.

Crash Information

The accident happened on Highway 29 at the intersection of Highway 221 late at night. A 33-year-old San Pablo man reportedly struck a vehicle stopped at the intersection’s traffic light and continued driving south for around a quarter-mile before driving onto the highway’s center divider. Police indicated that they discovered the hit-and-run driver inside of his vehicle at that location.

The San Pablo man was placed under arrest for hit-and-run, causing injuries and booked into the Napa County Jail at 1:00 a.m. on Monday, November 25, 2019. Reports indicated that his bail was initially set at $100,000.

Recovering After an Accident Injury

After surviving a car accident, people are often left in a very difficult situation. Many common accident injuries such as bone fractures, traumatic brain injuries, spinal cord trauma, and others involve a long and painful recovery process. While regaining their health, crash survivors often need to learn how to adjust to a new lifestyle to cope with their injury. This can be stressful, and many people develop serious emotional issues like anxiety, depression, and even post-traumatic stress disorder.

On top of the difficulty of simply regaining your physical and mental well-being, accident survivors also often face serious financial problems because of their injuries. Many accident injuries require multiple surgical procedures, as well as extensive therapy, medications, and more. All of these can add up quickly and medical bills can leave people wondering how they will ever be able to pay off their debt. Additionally, being injured is likely to affect your ability to perform your job for a significant period of time, which can lead to a loss of income depending on your employment situation.

Calling an Attorney

The issues that people face after being injured in a crash can leave them feeling hopeless. However, it’s possible for crash survivors to get help by getting in touch with a Napa personal injury lawyer and pursuing an injury claim. By filing a personal injury claim against negligent parties, people who’ve suffered injuries in an accident are often able to recover payments that fully cover the whole range of their financial and personal damages.

It’s always best to get personal advice from an expert before filing an injury claim. However, if you would like to know more about the personal injury claim process before contacting an attorney, take a look at this YouTube video:
