Crescent City Man Critically Injured During Vehicle Accident

Crescent City Man Suffers Critical Trauma During Vehicle Accident

California Highway Patrol (CHP) reported that a Crescent City man suffered severe injuries during a recent car accident. The wreck reportedly involved one vehicle and happened shortly before sunset on a rural road in Del Norte County. The cause of the accident remains under a CHP investigation. As of Wednesday, July 22, 2020, the 28-year-old man was reportedly still in serious condition and in an induced coma. An investigation into the accident is ongoing.

Crash Information

CHP reports indicate that the accident occurred at around 8:00 p.m. The vehicle driver was traveling north in a Ford Bronco on Kings Valley Road and had just passed South Kraft Road when he apparently lost control of his vehicle. For unknown reasons, the vehicle veered off the eastern edge of the road and crashed into a dirt embankment. As a result of the crash, the Bronco overturned. As the vehicle rolled, the driver was ejected through a window.

Response

According to reports, when responders arrived at the crash scene, they determined that the driver had been critically injured and had him transported via Del Norte Ambulance to the Sutter Coast Hospital. After treatment at Sutter, the man was placed on a helicopter and flown to the Redding Mercy Medical Center to receive more intensive care.

Investigation

While CHP investigates the accident, officers haven’t mentioned whether or not they suspect any collision factors in particular. Collisions like this one are common and frequently involve non-driver factors like dangerous roadway defects or malfunctioning car parts.

If a driver is unable to give police testimony about the accident, investigators may not uncover important evidence that could be a critical part of an injury case. To make sure the accident is investigated with your right to compensation as a priority, it’s vital to have a skilled injury attorney look into the incident privately.

Rollover Accidents and Liability

In many accidents involving overturned vehicles, the roof of the car crushes. This can lead to “roof crush injuries” that often cause severe trauma. Vehicle manufactures are expected to ensure that their products are reasonably safe. Because of this, the manufacturer of the car may be considered an at-fault party and be held financially liable for damages if roof crush injuries are involved in the accident. To make sure that your attorney can determine whether or not the manufacturer is at fault, it’s critical to preserve the wrecked vehicle as evidence.

Calling a Lawyer

A major injury can change your life and crash survivors face many serious issues. One of the most critical issues that survivors face is the financial impact of crashes. Not only is medical care very expensive, but suffering an injury can leave you unable to work and earn an income. To make sure your loved one is able to recover fully from their injuries, it’s important to reach out to a lawyer for advice. A good attorney will be able to give you the advice you need to move forward confidently with your injury case.
