Motorcycle Accidents and Wrongful Death

The practice of riding a motorcycle between lanes of traffic is referred to as lane-splitting. California allows lane-splitting for motorcyclists, in accordance to Assembly Bill 51. Although lane-splitting may be a breeze for motorcyclists, there are potential risks for riding alongside passenger cars and large commercial vehicles. Although a motorcycle rider may be exercising due care while lane-splitting, other drivers may not, increasing the risk of a motorcycle accident. Such risks include the following:

Injuries are common in accidents involving motorcyclists due to the lack of protection for riders in a crash. If you or a member in your family has suffered significant harm in a motorcycle accident, there is assistance available for you during this time of loss. It is important to seek legal guidance with an experienced Merced car accident lawyer to secure your rights and retrieve fair compensation for your damages.

Coping with a Loved One’s Death

Most everyone has experienced a traumatic event in his or her lifetime, including the loss of a loved one. Responses to traumatic events may vary in nature from person-to-person. It is important for a grieving person to acknowledge all their feelings during their time of loss. Keeping these emotions bundled up inside may create more harm than good. Always remember how much you meant to your loved one and how they would not want to see you suffering.
