RIPON, CA – Four individuals were hurt—two of them seriously—following a head-on collision Tuesday morning at a busy intersection in Ripon.

Emergency crews from the Ripon Consolidated Fire District were called to the scene at 9:04 a.m., responding to the crash at Highway 120 and French Camp Road. A nearby battalion chief arrived within minutes and found four people in need of care, including two facing critical injuries.

Given the seriousness of the situation, four ambulances were requested. All four patients were taken to nearby hospitals within 24 minutes of the initial call, according to fire officials.

Fire personnel stayed at the scene for roughly two hours, assisting the California Highway Patrol as they began their investigation.

At this time, officials have not shared further details about what caused the crash or the identities of those involved.
