Vallejo Event Calendar for April 2018

I’m Ed Smith, a Vallejo Injury Lawyer. Vallejo is a gorgeous waterfront city in the Bay Area, with a population of over 120,000 residents. With that many people in one city, it becomes clear as to why there is never a dull moment in Vallejo, California. Below I have a short compilation of community events coming to Vallejo in April.

Community Coffee Tasting

Date: Saturday, April 7, 2018

Time: 9:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m.

Location: 11 6th St, Vallejo, CA 94590

Admission: Free

Coffee often consists of many complex and multilayered flavors, and side-by-side comparisons can reveal the subtle differences in taste. Come by Moschetti Coffee to learn about the acidity levels in coffee, find out which flavors you do (and don’t) like, and sample the different roasts of freshly brewed coffee. If you fall in love with one flavor, do not fret – Moschetti Coffee will be open for retail sales!

Free Start Smart Class

Date: Monday, April 9, 2018

Time: 6:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m.

Location: 1551 Benicia Road, Vallejo, CA 94591

Admission: Free registration online

Despite road improvement, more driving programs, and more technologically-advanced vehicles, auto accidents still claim the lives of many young drivers. However, these injuries and deaths could be reduced if we eliminate risky driving behaviors. The Golden Gate Division of the California Highway Patrol (CHP) is holding this free interactive driving safety class designed for prospective teenage drivers and their parents.

Lantern Light Festival

Date: Sunday, April 15, 2018

Time: 5:00 p.m. – 10:00 p.m.

Location: 900 Fairgrounds Dr, Vallejo, CA 94589

Admission: $18 – $23 tickets

The lantern festival has been an impactful Chinese celebration, dating back to over 2,000 years ago. Marking the beginning of spring, Chinese lanterns are symbolic of illuminating the future and family reunion. Kids from the ages of 3 – 12 get in for $18, and children under the ages of 3 are free. General admission for adults is $23, and there are both military and senior discounts available. There will be food, acrobats, inflatables, scavenger hunts, and so much more.

Sustainable Backyards: Public Food Forest Tours

Date: Sunday, April 29, 2018

Time: 9:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m.

Location: 150 Rainier Ave, Vallejo, CA 94589

If you are interested in growing food at home or just want to substitute your lawn for a landscape that is more sustainable, this is the event for you. Stop by the Loma Vista Farm and tour three demonstration edible gardens that are hydrated by secondary water systems. Our local food forest keepers will be there to answer your questions while you explore the botanical gardens. You just might leave with some profound inspiration on ways to design your own yard!
