Highway’s Southbound Lanes Blocked by Rollover Injury Crash

The Toyota Tundra pickup and SUV blocked all the highway’s southbound lanes. Tow trucks were called to remove the vehicles. After emergency responders arrived, they determined that at least one injury had occurred.

One Person Hospitalized as a Result of Highway Accident

One injured party was transported to Sutter Roseville Medical Center for medical care. The extent of trauma that the person suffered was not reported. The southbound lanes of S.R. 49 were reopened around 7:49 p.m. CHP traffic investigators are determining the accident’s cause.

A Rollover Accident and the Need for Legal Advice

Most rollover accidents are often caused by driver errors, such as speeding and distracted driving, which can lead to a serious accident. However, other factors can come into play that can cause a rollover, including:

  • Roadway negligence: Negligence in the roadway means potholes, fissures of upheavals, soft shoulders and other problems that can cause a rollover injury crash. A government claim may be placed following an accident in these cases. The time limit to file such a claim is six months, so getting help from a lawyer is advised.
  • Auto defects: Defective brakes, tires and other vehicle parts can easily cause an accident. By retaining the vehicle, it can be examined to determine if a defect led to the rollover injury crash. If it did, a product liability claim may be placed to recover compensation.

Injury Complications Caused by Roof Crush

Even though auto manufacturers have standards to follow when engineering vehicle roofs, not all of them do. This means that when a rollover injury crash occurs, the roof can cave in on those inside the vehicle. Retaining the vehicle allows its examination to determine if roof crush occurred, so the manufacturer can be held responsible.

It is possible for the injured parties to seek compensation for vehicle rollovers caused by negligent drivers or external influences. Medical expenses, lost wages, and pain and suffering from an accident can all be recovered by filing a compensation claim.
