Two People Injured During Fairfield Car Crash

Two People Injured in Fairfield Car Crash

On Sunday, July 12, 2020, two people were hurt during a Fairfield car crash. According to Dave Harvey, a spokesperson from the California Highway Patrol (CHP), the incident happened in the late evening and involved two vehicles. One of the injured parties reportedly suffered major trauma, and both were hospitalized after the crash. The cause of this accident is currently being investigated.

Crash Information

According to Harvey, the accident happened just before 7:35 p.m. on the eastbound side of Highway Interstate 80 past the exit for Lynch Road. Details about what occurred prior to the accident were not reported. However, police indicated that a Ford Econoline van collided with a black Chrysler sedan. Photos of the crash scene show the Chrysler with extreme front-end damage.

A team of emergency responders was dispatched out to the scene after the collision occurred. When they arrived, officials discovered that the front-right passenger of the Chrysler had been seriously injured. Additionally, the Chrysler driver was discovered with minor trauma. Both individuals were placed on ambulances and driven to the NorthBay Medical Center.

Investigation

While CHP is attempting to determine the cause of this crash, investigators have not yet released any information about suspected factors. Collisions like this one can happen for more than one reason and frequently involve factors that are outside of driver control. Non-driver collision factors often include dangerous problems with the pavement, missing signage, and defective vehicle parts.

The Impact of Accident Injuries

People who suffer serious trauma in car accidents can face a difficult situation. Recovering your health is often a painful and mentally stressful process that can take months or even years. With the worst injuries, people are left with issues that affect them for the rest of their lives, like limited mobility or chronic pain.

Furthermore, the recovery process is also often very expensive and can leave survivors and their families with major financial problems. Firstly, crash survivors can require extensive medical care that often includes physical therapy, medications, surgeries, hospital stays, ambulance rides, and other expensive procedures. Altogether, these costs often add up to a massive amount.

Affording the medical care that you need can be even harder if the injuries you’ve suffered have made it difficult for you to work. Crash survivors frequently suffer a loss of wages or earning potential as a result of their trauma.

Getting Help

Fortunately, crash survivors can reach out for help and are frequently able to claim full compensation for the financial and personal damages they’ve sustained. By working with a Fairfield personal injury lawyer and filing a claim against at-fault parties, many people obtain the payments that they need to have financial security while they recover from their injuries.
