Two Injured in Brentwood Area Traffic Collision

Accident reports by the East Contra Costa Fire Protection District (ECCFPD) suggested that two parties were injured in a traffic collision in the Brentwood area on the night of Saturday, November 21, 2020. The Brentwood car accident occurred at the intersection of Marsh Creek Road and Sellers Avenue at approximately 9:30 p.m. Before the arrival of ECCFPD crews and the California Highway Patrol (CHP), a passerby reportedly put out a fire with a fire extinguisher that reportedly started in one of the cars involved in the motor vehicle accident. Six parties were involved in the car wreck, including three minors, according to CHP traffic officials. Two individuals were transported to the hospital for treatment of unspecified injuries. Additional details on the wreck were not immediately available.

Who Pays for Personal Injury Compensation After a Car Accident?

Under California law, you may have the legal right to recover economic and non-economic damages if you have been hurt in a car accident through someone else’s negligence. These damages are generally covered by the insurance company representing the other driver or your own if the at-fault party has little to no bodily injury liability coverage. These damages may include personal injury compensation for:

  • Costs of past and future medical treatment
  • Lost wages
  • Loss of future earnings
  • Lost enjoyment of life
  • Pain and suffering

The other driver’s insurance company may not always offer fair compensation for your medical bills, lost earnings, and pain and suffering. Claims adjusters and defense attorneys may look at the facts of your case to dispute its value or deny it altogether. To learn about the factors that may affect the personal injury claims process and your right to recover damages, watch the video below.

Should I Accept a Settlement for My Traffic Collision in the Brentwood Area?

After a car accident in Brentwood, it is essential for you not to discuss the details of the incident with the other driver’s insurance company under any circumstances. Anything you say, including how you are feeling after your crash, may hurt you later when seeking personal injury compensation. A top personal injury attorney in Brentwood has your best interests at heart, unlike the insurance company, and can handle communications and negotiations with them, so you do not have to.

Importance of Working with an Experienced Car Accident Lawyer in Brentwood

Our Brentwood car accident lawyers at AutoAccident.com have decades of experience dealing with insurance companies and overcoming the defense strategies they use to downplay the value of your claim. At our law firm, we care about you and your needs and want to help you get your life back on track.

A car accident injury claim is not just about money. Your case is about how the motor vehicle collision has affected you and your family. The unfortunate reality is that the insurance company representing the at-fault party has a team of claims adjusters and defense attorneys ready to reduce, delay, or deny your personal injury compensation. Even if the other driver was found at fault for the wreck, you may find that your own insurer is equally as difficult when it comes to offering a fair car accident settlement.

You have an advantage when you retain an experienced and top-rated Brentwood personal injury attorney to investigate your motor vehicle accident, collect evidence, request CHP traffic accident reports, interview witnesses, and hire investigators. Your injury lawyer can prove your car accident case to a jury in a way that they can have a true understanding of your injuries and pain and suffering.
