Two Critically Injured in Alleged Napa DUI

Two people suffered severe injuries during an alleged Napa DUI accident that took place on Sunday, September 14, 2019. Officers of the Napa California Highway Patrol (CHP) said that the crash involved two separate vehicles and that one of the drivers has been arrested on charges of driving under the influence of alcohol. The injured parties were identified as a 36-year-old woman from Vallejo and a 48-year-old man from Napa. The most recent updates indicated that both individuals remained in hospital custody.

Crash Details

The accident happened at 2:08 a.m. in a rural part of Napa County. The Vallejo woman had been driving a 2015 Chevy Malibu southbound on Highway 29 close to Tower Road when her vehicle entered northbound lanes. After driving for some distance in the oncoming lane, the Malibu struck a northbound 2019 Kia Forte head-on. Both vehicles sustained extreme damage as a result of the collision.

Emergency staff who responded to the accident reported that they discovered both drivers with life-threatening trauma at the scene of the accident. Both were rushed by ambulance to the nearby Queen of the Valley Medical Center so that they could receive immediate care.

Napa CHP has indicated in a press release that they believe alcohol was a factor in the collision and confirmed that an arrest has been made in relation to the incident.

Calling an Attorney

Coping with this stress can be very difficult, and many people have a hard time keeping up with their responsibilities during such a traumatic time.
