Officers from the California Highway Patrol (CHP) received a report of a truck accident on SR-99 and Arch Road in the Stockton area on the morning of Wednesday, December 22, 2021. The big rig crash occurred around 9:40 a.m. along the southbound lanes of State Route 99 close to the Arch Road offramp.

A preliminary report by officials revealed that the incident involved a semi-truck and a pickup truck. CHP traffic officers at the scene located an overturned big rig along the right shoulder and the pickup truck in the center divider. A SigAlert was issued in the area to advise drivers of the slowdown from the crash.
