Reasons for a Two-Vehicle Collision

Human error is the main cause of accidents involving two vehicles. This can be attributed to several factors, including:

  • Driving while distracted is a primary cause of a traffic collision near Placerville.
  • A lack of experience behind the wheel can cause a driver to get into an accident more easily.
  • Adverse weather conditions can cause a car to skid or fishtail, leading to a crash.
  • Driving while too fatigued leads to an accident.
  • The act of speeding or driving recklessly by a driver is a common reason for collisions.
  • Driving while intoxicated often leads to a traffic collision near Placerville.
  • Following a vehicle too closely can cause a rear-end crash, resulting in serious injuries.

Investigation of Two-Vehicle Accidents by Our Firm

An investigator is dispatched whenever there is a two-vehicle crash to identify evidence of negligence. In order to resolve our client’s case, we need this information. By analyzing accident scene markers that indicate how the collision occurred, we determine liability using crash reconstruction techniques. The most common cause of such crashes is rear-end collisions, which makes this step essential.

Additionally, the investigators interview witnesses who were present at the time of the crash. Depending on whether surveillance cameras are present, digital footage is obtained of the crash. A witness could have recorded the accident using a cell phone or dash cam, which provides excellent evidence of how the collision occurred and who was at fault. Errors and inaccuracies are also checked in police reports because they could affect the client’s ability to file a compensation claim.

Compensation Following an Accident

After gathering the data, our legal team builds a strong case for our clients based on the gathered evidence. This allows a client to place a car accident claim against the negligent party. Recoverable compensation includes all of the injured person’s medical costs, lost wages and damages for their pain and suffering.
