Working with an Injury Attorney After a Byron Head-On Collision

When you have been involved in a recent head-on collision in Byron or elsewhere in Contra Costa County, it is essential to contact a skilled injury lawyer right away. Retaining an attorney will be critical to achieving full and fair compensation for your personal injury case.

A head-on collision can be life-changing, and in some cases, no amount of money can undo the emotional, physical, and financial losses. That said, compensatory damages can certainly assist with covering financial costs like past and future medical expenses, lost wages, loss of future earnings, and property damage. Enlisting a legal team with years of experience handling personal injury cases will make the claims process more manageable. This may help reduce the frustration and stress that often comes with filing a personal injury claim with the insurance company. What Can an Attorney Do for My Personal Injury Case?

After getting injured in a head-on collision in Byron, you may be wondering what your next steps should be. You may be stressed over how your vehicle will be repaired, how your medical expenses will be paid, and how much time you need to miss at work to recover from your injuries. A Brentwood car accident attorney can provide valuable advice and counseling based on their experience handling personal injury cases. Some of the ways an attorney can help you with your claim include:

  • Request Police Report: If fault is in dispute or not clearly established in a head-on collision, an attorney can obtain a CHP traffic accident report on your behalf. Our legal team will help to collect the facts in your case.
  • Calculate Your Damages: Injuries may have only occurred days, weeks, or months ago from a head-on collision, but may be lifelong. Trauma may have permanent damage due to the catastrophic nature of such accidents. Understanding how this may impact you and your life and having a medical professional determine this will be necessary for calculating past and future personal injury damages.
  • Deal with the Insurance Company: The insurer representing the at-fault party may likely attempt to dispute liability for the incident, deny a personal injury claim, or convince the claimant that they have no case. This has been seen much too often, and it is one more reason an attorney will have your back and relieve the burden of dealing with difficult insurance companies, including your own.
  • Obtain Fair Compensation: An attorney will work diligently to ensure you receive fair compensation for your injuries and losses incurred. When you do not have an attorney to represent you and protect your best interests, insurance companies will do everything in their power to reduce their financial liability in your claim and pressure you into accepting a lowball settlement offer. Do not let this happen to you, and seek the guidance of an experienced attorney today.
