Three Hurt in Highway 120 DUI Crash Near Oakdale

Three drivers were hurt in a DUI crash on Highway 120 and Lon Dale Road near the Oakdale area on Monday, December 7, 2020. The California Highway Patrol (CHP) reported that the motor vehicle crash happened at approximately 3:30 p.m. on State Route 120, just west of Cleveland Avenue and northwest of Oakdale.

A preliminary investigation by CHP traffic units revealed that the at-fault party, a 20-year-old man from Manteca, was driving a 1997 Chevrolet pickup truck westbound on SR-120 when his vehicle reportedly entered the eastbound lane. The left side of the Chevrolet allegedly crashed into the side mirror of an oncoming Ford pickup truck driven by a 61-year-old Oakdale man. The impact caused the mirror of the Ford to shatter, and fragments of the glass struck the Oakdale man in the face, causing facial lacerations. The Manteca man lost control of his Chevrolet truck and entered the oncoming traffic lane, colliding head-on with a 2013 Cadillac sedan driven by a 61-year-old Oakdale woman.

The Chevrolet driver reportedly showed signs of being under the influence of drugs, the CHP reported. He was later taken to a Modesto hospital for treatment of a fractured tailbone and pelvis and lacerations to his face and wrist. Further details on the Oakdale car accident has not yet been released by the CHP due to ongoing investigation.

Can I Depend on the Insurance Company for a Fair Settlement?

Having an attorney who has the experience, resources, and skills needed to prove and litigate your personal injury case is essential to ensuring you receive the compensatory damages you need to move forward with your life. Before you discuss your bodily injury claim with the other driver’s insurance company, discuss your case with an experienced injury lawyer first to ensure your legal rights and best interests are protected.
