Folsom’s Polar Express™ Holiday Event

It’s that magical time of year again when The Polar Express™ Holiday Event is being held in Folsom for children and the young at heart on December 21, 2019. Hosted by the Folsom Historic District, this is a great way to celebrate the Christmas season for the entire family. Tickets can be purchased in advance here, and seating is limited, so you will want to book your seats early. The Polar Express™ Holiday Event is being held on Sutter Street from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. and will certainly get you and your loved ones in the holiday mood.

Tickets

Tickets must be purchased for The Polar Express™ Holiday Event in advance and cost $15 per person. An adult must accompany all children. Although this great event is recommended for kids who are between 5 and 10 years of age, people of all ages will have a great time. There will be a musical performance and singalong, a craft project for children and reading of Chris Van Allsburg’s book, “The Polar Express.” As the children leave, they will receive an ornament that is specially decorated in the caboose. In Pioneer Village, hot cocoa and cookies will be available.

Activity Schedule

Times for activities are estimated and may vary slightly.

  • Sutter Street Theater at 717 Sutter Street (4:00 p.m. to 4:45 p.m.): This is where patrons may enjoy the reading of the book, an exciting musical performance, and singalong. It is recommended to arrive early for seating.
  • The Painted Cork at 726 Sutter Street (4:45 p.m. to 5:30 p.m.): This is the location for the children to do their craft project.
  • Pioneer Village at 198 Wool Street (5:30 p.m. to 6:00 p.m.): Here is where visitors can enjoy hot cocoa and cookies and also where the children will receive their special ornament in the caboose. There will be docents available to talk about this historic site, which is listed on the National Historic Registry.

Parking

The Historic District offers free parking, so there are no worries feeding a meter. A parking garage is also available at 905 Leidesdorff Street.

Having a Great Time During the Holiday Season

Nothing says Happy Holidays like the presence of family members and friends. That is why events such as the Polar Express™ Holiday Event are such favorites. Everywhere in the community from Karen’s Bakery to the Sutter Street Theater, there is a feeling of joy in the air. From our firm to everyone in Sacramento and those who will be at the Polar Express™ Holiday Event, we wish you the best of holidays.

Safety During the Holiday Season

It is important that everyone take a little extra care during the holiday season. The National Safety Council offers the following recommendations to stay safe when traveling. In 2017, there were 1,091 fatalities on the roads on Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Year’s Day. About 33 percent of the accidents involved alcohol. Ways to stay safe are:

  • Get enough sleep before leaving on your journey.
  • Make sure your car’s tires, brakes, and fluids are in good order. If you are traveling to snowy climes, bring chains along.
  • Leave in plenty of time.
  • Check to see that everyone buckles up.
  • Turn the cell phone off until you hit a rest stop or your destination.
  • If you plan to have a drink at a party, designate a sober driver before you leave.

How an Attorney Can Help

Many of our clients carry our contact information with them when they travel. Our firm is active throughout Northern California, so we are ready to help, holiday or not. It is important to call as soon as possible if you have an accident, even a fender bender. At the very least, we can give you advice on what you need to do. In many cases, our investigators are sent to the accident site to look for proof of negligence by the at-fault party. We speak to witnesses and obtain traffic camera video footage if possible. Our investigators will also carefully review police reports for errors. Once all data in your case is gathered, it is released to our legal team to build a strong case in your favor.
