Teenager Killed During Cameron Park Motorcycle Crash

On Saturday, September 5, 2020, a young man tragically lost his life during a Cameron Park motorcycle crash. The Placerville area California Highway Patrol (CHP) office stated that the accident only involved the single motorcycle and happened late at night. The young man has been identified as a 19-year-old resident of Cameron Park.

Collision Information

CHP reported that the accident happened at around 11:10 p.m. on Green Valley Road. The teenager was driving a 2006 model Yamaha R6 to the east of Crowdis Lane on the northern side of Cameron Park. According to police, the motorcycle drove off the road for unknown reasons. After it left the road, the motorcycle crashed into a metal fence and eventually plunged into a nearby dirt field, ejecting the driver.

After officials received a call regarding the accident, they rushed responders to the scene. Upon reaching the location of the crash, responders determined that the motorcyclist was severely injured. Sadly, the young man passed away on-site. No other individuals were reported to have been involved in the accident.

Investigation

CHP has stated that they are currently conducting an investigation into possible causes of this crash. However, a full report regarding suspected factors remains unavailable. Police indicated that conditions at the time of the collision were warm, dark, and clear. Often, accidents like this one happen for a number of reasons, and investigating them can be complicated. Furthermore, these kinds of accidents frequently involve causes that motorcyclists aren’t able to control, like issues with dangerous roads or malfunctioning motorcycle parts.

Unfortunately, accidents without surviving drivers present a challenge to investigators. Because the driver can’t tell police about what took place, officers may never notice important evidence. This can be a big problem for families, especially because such evidence may have been a critical part of a wrongful death case. For this reason, it’s important to reach out to an attorney who can privately investigate the accident and ensure that all at-fault parties are held responsible.

Calling An Attorney

Families affected by deadly vehicle accidents typically experience intense grief and feel shocked or overwhelmed. Often, it’s possible for grieving individuals to heal emotionally with the support of their loved ones. However, at-fault parties to vehicle accidents normally aren’t experiencing the same grief and take quick action in order to avoid financial responsibility. Sadly, this can leave families unable to recover the compensation they deserve. Because of this, calling a lawyer as soon as possible is very important.

One of the main reasons that people may delay getting in touch with a Cameron Park wrongful death lawyer is that they are unsure of how to find a trustworthy attorney. Fortunately, it is very easy to verify whether or not your attorney has the necessary expertise, skill, and resources to handle your case. Learn more by watching this short video:
