Stockton Man Killed in Crash in Bakersfield Area
Authorities reported that a Stockton man was killed in a two-vehicle crash in the Bakersfield area on Friday, November 5, 2021. The motor vehicle collision occurred shortly before 2:45 a.m. on westbound State Route 58 close to Castle Butte Road and Edwards Airforce Base.

The California Highway Patrol (CHP) responded to the crash and located two vehicles at the scene. One party was reportedly trapped inside one of the cars, officials said. Details on what led up to the incident were not immediately provided by CHP traffic officers.
Sadly, one individual was declared deceased by first responders. The Kern County Coroner’s Office has identified the decedent as 27-year-old Benly Nic Nanthavong of Stockton.
