Soul Food Dinner

New Beginnings is the organizer of this finger-licking event, which will be a buffet-style soul food gathering meant for kids and adults of all ages. Dinner will be held at the Trinity Lutheran Church, and the menu will include many mouth-watering soul food dishes. Fried chicken, cornbread, candied yams, tossed greens, mashed potatoes, peach cobbler, red velvet cake, and so much more will be available. Bring your napkins!

This free event will be held at the University of Pacific campus, which just so happens to be home to California’s oldest chartered university. These educational workshops are intended to support and further children’s interest in STEM-related careers. All parents and their students in the middle school or high school age range are invited to attend. There will be English and Spanish workshops taught by college students. A complimentary breakfast and lunch will be included for all those in attendance.
LSAA Day of Service

The Leadership Stockton Alumni Association is looking for volunteers that are eager to spice up Pixie Woods through methods including painting, digging, weeding, and planting. Bring some old clothes that can handle a few stains, comfy shoes, and a pair of gardening gloves. After the day is over and equipment has been stored away, there will be a BBQ to commemorate a day of hard work.
Earth Day Festival

Stop by Victory Park to explore the interactive demos, booths, exhibits, and displays offered at Stockton’s annual Earth Day celebration. Hands-on activities will be prepared by green businesses, local schools, and community agencies. Additionally, there will be opportunities for yoga, live music and entertainment, and healthy food sampling.
