Solo Vehicle Collision Fatally Injures Ceres Teen Near Tracy

Accident Details
A 17-year-old Ceres girl was driving her 2011 Ford Fusion eastbound on Interstate 580 near the Highway 132 overcrossing at approximately 4:10 pm. Witnesses in the area informed the California Highway Patrol (CHP) that the girl was allegedly speeding at approximately 85 miles per hour moments before her vehicle left the roadway. For unknown reasons, the Ford veered to the right and drove up the overpass embankment. The vehicle became airborne for approximately 127 feet, struck a bridge pillar and came to a stop shortly after the collision.
Fatal Natal of Injuries
Emergency personnel immediately responded to assist the injured victim. Upon arrival, they located the victim and the Ford Fusion. Sadly, the young girl passed away as a result of her injuries.
