How an Attorney Can Help With Your Personal Injury Claim

When it comes to seeking financial recovery after a head-on collision, the burden of proof lies on the injured party that is seeking reimbursement for their economic and non-economic damages. Even if liability is clear, the insurance company representing the other side may dispute fault, claim that reported injuries are unrelated to the crash, or say that the claimed injuries are not as severe. In any of these situations, it is worth having an experienced injury lawyer on your side.

Working with an experienced Modesto personal injury attorney will work to your benefit as a party injured in a car accident. That is because your lawyer will represent you on a contingent fee agreement. This means that costs of legal representation will only be due if a favorable outcome is achieved on your behalf. Your injury attorney can help you seek financial compensation for economic and non-economic damages like medical bills, lost income, pain and suffering, and more. Your attorney will work to ensure that you receive maximum compensation for your losses.

Is There a Time Limit on Car Accident Injury Cases?

The right to seek financial compensation after a motor vehicle collision resulting in injuries has a time limit. If the two-year statute of limitations expires and a lawsuit is not filed in civil court within that period, the court may dismiss the case. This means that the right to seek damages may be lost. Therefore, it is essential to file a case in civil court if the claim cannot be resolved with a mutual settlement agreement. An experienced accident attorney can work to ensure that all deadlines are met on your behalf. Learn how our legal team at AutoAccident.com can help you by watching this video.
