Stockton Boulevard Two-Car Crash Results in Minor Injuries

Minor injuries were reported in a Sacramento two-car crash on March 15 at a busy intersection. The accident happened at the Stockton Boulevard intersection with Orange Avenue around 2:46 p.m. between two Toyota sedans. The driver of a Toyota Avalon called the California Highway Patrol (CHP) to report the accident and to say they could not exit their vehicle.

Investigation Into Cause of Two-Car Crash Being Conducted

When officers arrived, they discovered the crash blocked the intersection. Minor injuries were reported, and it is unknown whether medics were called to the scene to provide treatment. Currently, the CHP is investigating what happened and determining the fault.

Determining Liability in an Intersection Accident

In order to determine liability in an intersection accident, a lawyer must review the evidence in the case. This includes examining all police reports, witness statements and any video surveillance of the scene. The lawyer’s job is to analyze the facts and argue which party is most likely liable for the accident.

Traffic Infractions in a Two-Car Crash

The lawyer will consider each driver’s actions in the two-car crash and see if either violated any traffic laws. This includes a review of the speed limit, stop signs, yield signs, red light violations or other basic traffic regulations. A lawyer may also look at whether either driver was distracted by their cell phone or any other electronic device or if either driver was impaired by alcohol or drugs.

Collecting Physical Evidence

A lawyer will also review the physical evidence at the scene of the accident, such as skid marks or damage to vehicles. This helps to determine which party had the right-of-way and who may have acted negligently in causing the crash. The lawyer may have an expert analyze the evidence to help prove their case.

A Lawyer Can Handle Insurance Company Negotiations for You

Once liability is determined and the other driver is found to be at fault, the lawyer will negotiate with their insurance company. This could involve filing a claim to seek monetary compensation for medical bills, property damage, pain and suffering, or any others. If an agreement is not reached, the lawyer will take the case to court and argue it before a judge or jury.

By presenting a strong argument and evidence in court, they can help the injured party seek justice and receive fair compensation for their losses. It has been proven that using an accident attorney to handle your case often results in two to three times the compensation you would have received by doing it on your own. In addition, by having this burden taken off your shoulders, you can spend your time knowing your case is in good hands and spend that time concentrating on healing from your trauma.
