Sacramento Single Vehicle Crash Kills Passenger
I’m Ed Smith, a Sacramento wrongful death lawyer. A single vehicle crash occurred in north Sacramento during the early morning hours of Wednesday, May 3, 2017. The collision caused one passenger in the car to suffer fatal injuries.
A woman was behind the wheel of her white Dodge Challenger traveling along Madison Avenue in the vicinity of Auburn Boulevard at about 1:45 am. The woman was allegedly driving over the posted speed limit moments before she lost control of her vehicle which caused her to crash into a telephone pole.
When officers from the California Highway Patrol (CHP) arrived at the scene of the automobile accident, they discovered the woman’s Dodge Challenger with severe passenger side damage. The impact from the collision caused the passenger side fender and door to completely tear off from the vehicle.
What Caused the Crash?
Passenger Suffers Fatal Injuries
A woman was sitting in the passenger seat at the time of the crash. CHP officers stated that the passenger was not wearing a seat belt during the collision, which caused her to be thrown out of the vehicle upon impact. Unfortunately, the woman was pronounced deceased at the scene due to the grave nature of her injuries.
Our condolences are with the loved ones of the woman that passed away in this tragic accident.
