Rural Fairfield Auto Accident Leaves One Hospitalized

On Friday, February 19, 2021, one person was sent to the hospital after an auto accident in Fairfield. California Highway Patrol (CHP) reports that the crash happened in a rural area during the morning and only involved one small passenger vehicle. Updates on the condition of the injured individual have not been provided, but medical officials indicated that he was not expected to have suffered life-threatening injuries.

Crash Details

CHP traffic information indicates that the accident occurred just before 7:00 a.m. on Abernathy Road close to Mankas Corner Road in the very northwestern part of Fairfield. For unknown reasons, the driver of a white recent-model sedan apparently lost control of their vehicle and the sedan traveled off-road. After it left the road, the sedan collided with a nearby fence and came to a rest in a vineyard. Photos of the crash scene show damage to the front driver’s side of the vehicle.

Response

After police received calls reporting the accident, an emergency team was immediately sent to the scene. At the location, responders discovered that the vehicle driver had suffered significant injuries and called for an ambulance. The driver was taken to a local hospital with unspecified trauma.

Investigation

CHP is actively conducting an investigation into the possible causes of this crash. At this time, officers have not released any reports regarding likely causal factors. Although single-vehicle accidents might seem simple, they often are caused by multiple factors and can be difficult to investigate. Furthermore, crashes frequently happen because of one or more things outside of driver influence, like issues with defective or poorly built car parts. In cases that involve non-driver causes, parties like auto manufacturers may be financially responsible for damages caused by the incident.

Collision Injuries

Suffering an injury during a car accident can have a big impact on your life. Firstly, many crash survivors sustain injuries that require a long process of recovery which can be both stressful and painful. For many, this means undergoing surgeries or other major medical procedures as well as going through physical therapy in order to regain mobility or possibly long-term medication use to deal with issues like impacted cognition or chronic pain.

Altogether, all of this medical care can add up to a very high bill, and paying these bills can be challenging, especially for individuals who have suffered trauma that makes it difficult to work and earn an income.

Getting Help

Fortunately, car accident survivors can seek help from a Fairfield personal injury lawyer and may be able to obtain full compensation for their economic and personal losses. This is possible through filing a personal injury claim and obtaining payments from at-fault parties and/or insurance companies. To learn about what payments may be available for your specific case, it’s best to seek direct advice from an experienced attorney.
