Roseville Road Intersection Accident Involves Fleeing Driver

Injuries were reported in a three-vehicle accident in Foothill Farms on July 14 that involved a fleeing driver. The collision happened at the intersection of Roseville Road and Tacomic Drive just after 10:00 a.m. Lanes were blocked by the crash, according to the California Highway Patrol (CHP), and tow trucks were needed to remove all of them. Detectives with the CHP traffic accident unit are investigating the collision to determine fault and how it occurred.

The Dangers of an Intersection Accident

Intersection collisions can be some of the most devastating and deadly car accidents. They often involve multiple vehicles, high speeds, and a lot of force. The results of these collisions can range from minor damage to serious injury or death. Even if no one is injured, an intersection accident can be especially costly in terms of repairs, medical expenses and lost wages due to missed work.

Intersection accidents can also have long-term consequences. For example, if you are involved in a major accident, you could suffer from physical pain and emotional trauma for years to come. Additionally, serious intersection collisions may result in criminal charges against the at-fault party, depending on the situation or cause of the crash.

How an Injury Attorney Identifies a Fleeing Driver

In some cases, when an injury attorney is faced with a fleeing driver, it can be difficult to identify the responsible party. However, there are several steps that can be taken to help pinpoint who was behind the wheel. An experienced injury attorney will look for debris or skid marks left by the car, as well as any witnesses who may have seen the fleeing driver. The attorney will also look to see if there are surveillance cameras in the area that might have captured a vehicle’s license plate number or other identifying characteristics of the car.

Once this evidence has been collected, it can then be used to create a profile of the suspected driver. The injury attorney can look at the make and model of the car, its registration numbers and any other identifying characteristics that may help to identify the fleeing driver. This information can then be used to search for the owner of the vehicle.

Other Investigative Techniques

In some cases, an injury attorney might be able to locate a suspect based on this evidence alone. However, if no clear suspect can be identified, other investigative measures may need to be taken. This could include accident reconstruction and gathering statements from the people involved in the accident.

Insurance Coverage For Accident Injuries

If the driver isn’t located, the injured person can use their uninsured/underinsured policy to recover compensation. If they don’t carry this insurance but a family member does, that may be used instead. It will not raise the price of the insurance.
