Rocklin’s Outdoor Adventure Attraction

Quarry Park Adventures in Rocklin is one of the largest adventure parks in the greater Sacramento area. The park opened in October 2018, and then shortly thereafter changed ownership.  Quarry Park Adventures is located on and around a granite quarry that is 60 feet deep and dates back 160 years.  The park grounds are well over five acres, and there are many outdoor activities for adventurers of all ages.  As a bonus, it is open year-round!

The park is located at 5373 Pacific Street in Rocklin, California.  Winter Hours are as follows:

Friday: 1:00pm to 7:00pm

Saturday: 9:00am to 7:00pm

Sunday : 9:00am to 7:00pm

Monday, February 17th, the park will also be open from 10 a.m. to 7:00 p.m.

Additionally, group bookings are available (by appointment) seven days a week.

Adventures within the Park

Note that each adventure has its own specific weight limits and participant requirements, which you can review at the company’s website.  Of course, you will also have to sign a waiver!

Aerial Adventure

This activity features over 60 different elements, ranging in difficulty from easy to challenging.  The park provides safety equipment, including a belay clip system.  Staff will ensure that the safety gear is secured properly, and adventurers will learn in Ground School how to use the equipment.  The clip system allows the adventurer to secure herself to the safety lines found throughout the more challenging adventures in the park.  Adventurers are welcome to move through the elements at their own pace.

Rock Climbing

Granite Gulch Rock within the Quarry Park has a climbing area that will delight both indoor and outdoor rock climbing fans.  Granite Gulch Rock includes natural granite walls that were exposed by mining practices in years past.  The area also includes defined holds which are affixed to the granite walls.

Free Fall

One of the more thrilling adventures at Quarry Park is the Cliff Hanger Free Fall.  This activity also includes high tech safety equipment, that after a period of exhilarating free fall, creates resistance, and gently lowers the participant to the platform, located 40 feet below the jump point.

Kidz Kove

The kids’ area at Quarry Park is supervised and does not require safety equipment such as helmets or harnesses.  It is also fully enclosed.  Children need a guardian within the area, and the entry fee only applies to the child, not the guardian.

Paddle Boats

Quinn Quarry Lake within the park offers two-person and four-person paddle boats that are available to rent in 30-minute intervals.

Rappeling

Rappel down 60 feet after stepping off the edge of Big Gun Quarry.  For thrill-seekers only!

Via Ferrata

Via Ferrata, which translates to “iron path” in Italian, is a series of challenging elements within Wild Willie’s Wall Walk.  The journey includes heights up to 40 feet above the floor of the quarry.  Scale the rock wall and encounter several challenges, such as swinging bridges.  This adventure also requires Ground School and instruction in the belay clip system.

Zip Line

Quarry Park’s zip line runs sixty feet above Big Gun Quarry.  Participants can reach speeds of more than 30 mph.  The lines are installed side-by-side so you can soar through the air alongside your family and friends.  Race!
