A pedestrian killed in early morning crash at Power Inn and Calvine Roads was struck early Friday morning, February 27, 2026, in South Sacramento. The crash was reported around 5:45 a.m. near the intersection of Power Inn Road and Calvine Road.

Authorities confirmed that a female pedestrian was struck by a vehicle while outside of a marked crosswalk. Tragically, she was pronounced dead at the scene. Her age has not been released.

The driver remained at the location and cooperated fully with investigators. CHP officers temporarily closed the roadway while they conducted their on-scene investigation. The incident remains under review.
