Oroville Area Crash Involves Five Vehicles

Five Vehicles Involved in Oroville Area Crash

Police reported that five vehicles were involved in an Oroville area car crash that took place on Friday, January 31, 2020. California Highway Patrol (CHP) released a report indicating that multiple people were transported to a hospital following the crash. According to medical officials, all of the injured parties were expected to fully recover.

Crash Details

Police reports stated that the crash happened just prior to 2:00 p.m. on Highway 70, a short distance south of the Ophir Road exit. Specific details about the events leading up to the crash were not reported. However, CHP did indicate that one of the five vehicles that were involved in the accident was a pickup truck pulling a trailer.

The northbound side of Highway 80 was blocked for around twenty minutes while local officials responded to the accident. Reportedly, two individuals were injured during the incident.

Investigation

CHP has indicated that an investigation into what may have caused the collision is ongoing. While no suspected factors have been reported, police have stated that there is no indication that driver intoxication was involved.

Accidents involving more than two vehicles are often difficult to investigate and can be caused by a number of different factors. However, crashes like this one are commonly caused by factors that can’t be controlled by any of the drivers involved. These can include roadway defects, defective vehicle products, and more.

Collision Injuries

Injuries suffered during car accidents are often serious, and even minor injuries can have major impacts on your life. In many cases, people who’ve been injured in crashes need to undergo multiple medical procedures and may also need to stay in a hospital bed for an extended period of time. Furthermore, crash survivors commonly need to go through physical therapy sessions in order to regain their mobility.

Not only is this process stressful and painful, but it can often be very expensive. On top of medical bills, being injured is likely to leave you unable to work either permanently or for a period of time, resulting in a significant loss of income. Altogether, these issues can leave people financially unstable and unsure of what they can do.

Getting Help

These issues are serious and can sometimes feel overwhelming. However, it’s possible to get help by filing a personal injury claim and obtaining compensation from negligent parties. The damages available through these claims depends on your specific circumstances. However, payments are often available for a wide range of damages.
