One Person Killed During Fairfield Motorcycle Collision

On Friday, September 25, 2020, one person sustained fatal injuries as the result of a Fairfield motorcycle collision. According to information from the Solano area California Highway Patrol (CHP), the accident happened at night on a local highway. However, police have not stated how many vehicles were involved in the collision. The Solano County Sheriff’s Department has identified the decedent as 23-year-old Isaac Saldivar of Indio. A GoFundMe page has been created on behalf of Mr. Isaac Saldivar and his family to help pay for his final resting expenses.

Collision Details

CHP reported that the motorcycle accident happened on Highway Interstate 80 at around 11:00 p.m. The motorcycle had been traveling on the westbound side of the highway near American Canyon Road between Vallejo and Fairfield. Preliminary reports from CHP indicated that the motorcycle came to rest within the Number 2 lane of the highway. However, more specific details about the circumstances of this accident have not been released.

The accident was reported to CHP shortly after it occurred, and emergency responders were immediately sent to the site. Upon arrival, response officials discovered that the motorcyclist had sustained critical trauma. Tragically, the individual was pronounced deceased on-site.

Investigation

Freeway traffic was diverted from the freeway onto American Canyon Road in order to bypass the collision scene. The highway remained at least partially closed for around three hours, and all lanes were reportedly cleared by 1:00 a.m. During this time, officials conducted accident response, and police performed preliminary collision scene investigations. CHP has indicated that their investigation into the cause of this crash remains under investigation at this time.

Motorcycle accidents can be complicated and are frequently caused by more than one factor. Furthermore, many common motorcycle crash factors are outside of the control of riders. These include driving on dangerous roads or defects in motorcycle parts.

Why It’s Important to Have an Attorney Investigate

A deadly crash can present a serious challenge to investigators. Because the police cannot ask the decedent questions about the accident, they may not fully understand what caused the collision. Sadly, this can mean that police will leave important evidence undiscovered. Unfortunately, this can prevent families from obtaining fair compensation from at-fault parties.

An experienced Fairfield wrongful death lawyer will be able to use their skills and resources in order to conduct a full, private accident investigation.
