98th Avenue On-Ramp Site of Oakland Traffic Injury Crash

An Oakland traffic injury crash occurred on September 17 when a Toyota Corolla and a Chevrolet pickup collided on the 98th Avenue on-ramp to northbound Interstate 880. The collision happened at approximately 1:51 p.m. According to the California Highway Patrol (CHP), the pickup truck struck the Corolla, causing moderate rear-end damage to the sedan. After the impact, smoke was reportedly seen emanating from one of the vehicles, and both cars blocked the on-ramp, disrupting traffic for a period.

Oakland Traffic Injury Crash Being Investigated to Determine Fault

Emergency medical personnel were dispatched to the scene and were observed providing aid to at least one injured individual. The extent of the injuries has not yet been disclosed. CHP traffic officers arrived to investigate the circumstances of the crash and coordinate vehicle removal.
