Multiple Vehicle Crashes Occur Near Davis on I-80
Three separate vehicle crashes on I-80 occurred on August 16 in the Davis area and had a disconcerting effect on traffic in the early morning hours. According to the California Highway Patrol (CHP), traffic slowed in all three lanes just in time for the morning commute. The Davis area accidents happened in the period between 6:34 and 7:03 a.m. For those trying to get a jump on the work day or start out for a weekend vacation, this complicated their plans. Third Crash
The Old Davis Road area of I-80 was the site of the third crash, which occurred at 7:03 a.m. Three vehicles took part in the accident in the westbound lanes, slowing traffic. As of the time of this report, the number one lane was still closed. This accident is under investigation by authorities as road rage.
