Options for Recovery After a Multi-Vehicle Crash in Fresno

When going through the days and weeks following a traffic collision, you may feel stressed and overwhelmed about what steps you must take next. You may benefit from the assistance of a skilled California car accident lawyer in this situation. The legal team at AutoAccident.com has handled cases like yours since 1982. We can go over your rights and options for recovery so you can move forward in your case with confidence. You may be able to seek reimbursement for your damages by:

  • Insurance Settlement: If the other motorist was responsible for the car wreck, our attorneys can file a personal injury claim and seek maximum compensation in a settlement with the other driver’s insurer. While this usually results in an efficient route to seek reimbursement, there may be challenges if the driver has limited to no liability insurance. This is especially true in multi-vehicle crash cases. Fortunately, an injured party may have recourse in their situation if they have uninsured and underinsured motorist protection. UM and UIM coverage may pay for losses up to the insurance plan’s limits.
  • Personal Injury Lawsuit: Filing a lawsuit for personal injury in civil court may be necessary. This is generally due to the insurer not making a reasonable settlement agreement or protecting the two-year statute of limitations. While a personal injury lawsuit could take longer to resolve, it may be necessary to obtain a favorable resolution for the client. Keep in mind that a different statute applies if a government entity is named a defendant in the matter. A six-month deadline applies, according to the California Government Code Section 911.2.
