Motorcyclist in Redding Crash Identified as Anderson Resident

California Highway Patrol (CHP) officials indicated that a fatal accident took place near Redding on Saturday, June 29, 2019. The accident reportedly left one motorcyclist with injuries that tragically cost him his life. The motorcyclist was identified three days later by Shasta County officials as Robert Foreman II, a 24-year-old man and resident of Anderson. Mr. Foreman was reportedly the only individual involved in this accident. I would like to extend my sincere condolences to Mr. Foreman’s friends and family while they are mourning their terrible loss.

Crash Details

The accident took place a few miles southeast of Redding city limits at about 7:15 p.m. Foreman had been riding his motorcycle on Texas Springs road in a rural location close to the intersection of Montgomery Ranch Road. Details about how exactly the crash took place have not yet been provided by authorities.

According to police, responders arrived at the scene of the crash shortly after it took place. Upon arriving, medical officials discovered that Foreman was critically injured. Reportedly, medics attempted to perform life-saving procedures but were ultimately unable to stabilize him. Sadly, Foreman passed away before he could be transported to a hospital for treatment.

Investigation

CHP has indicated that they have investigators looking into this accident in hopes of determining what may have caused it. While the investigation continues, officials haven’t said what, if any, factors are suspected.

Investigating single-vehicle accidents can be difficult, especially when there are no witnesses who can provide statements to investigators. Many times, accidents are caused by factors that drivers cannot control including defective vehicle parts or phantom drivers who force them off of the road and drive away from the accident. In cases where drivers are unable to tell officials what happened, it is important that families contact an experienced attorney who can conduct their own investigation into what may have caused the accident.

Recovering After a Tragedy

After an accident, families often go through a very difficult period of time. Learning to cope with your feelings of grief after losing a person you care about can take years, and it is important for people to take time to heal emotionally after such a tragic event. However, many are unable to focus on healing because they are left with pressing financial concerns. Losing a loved one can also mean losing an essential source of household services, income, and support.

In order to recover these costs, families can file wrongful death claims. These types of claims attempt to provide families with the compensation they deserve by holding negligent parties responsible for their actions. In cases where a negligent party cannot be found, people may also be able to claim payments from insurance companies through uninsured/underinsured coverage.

It’s important to speak with a Redding wrongful death lawyer directly if you’ve experienced such a loss. However, finding a good lawyer can be stressful. If you want to know how you can easily make sure an attorney has the right skills and experience, take a look at this short, helpful video:
