How Can an Attorney Help with a Wrongful Death Motorcycle Accident Case?

Most motorcycle crashes involve a passenger vehicle and a motorcyclist. While drivers are accustomed to watching out for other vehicles on the roadway, they may not always keep an eye out for bikers in the same way. This is especially true for those motorcycle riders who are lane-splitting. Collisions may result when drivers fail to yield the right-of-way to bikers, travel above the posted speed limit, do not check blind spots for motorcyclists, and other careless driving behavior. A motorcyclist may sustain some of the most catastrophic injuries on the spectrum when a reckless motorist is on the road. In other situations, a loss of life may result.

Surviving family members should consult with an experienced Martinez motorcycle accident attorney if they have lost a loved one in this type of incident. A lawyer will go over the facts and circumstances of the case with survivors and explain their right to seek financial compensation for their loss. If they have a potential case, an accident attorney will start an independent investigation and collect the evidence needed to prove the wrongful death matter. A lawyer will also work to determine all potential sources of financial recovery, including the at-fault party’s insurance policy and that of the decedent.
