What Survivors Should Expect from the Wrongful Death Claims Process

The loss of a close relative in a vehicle vs. motorcycle crash may impact a family in various ways. This is especially true when an accident occurs because of a negligent driver or entity. Survivors may suffer from anxiety and depression because of the unexpected loss from the traumatic event. The incident may have also deprived surviving family members of the primary provider of their household. This may leave survivors unsure of how to move forward.

Under these circumstances, a family may hold an at-fault party or entity liable for their loss through a wrongful death claim. Given that liability for a motorcycle accident may fall on more than one party, it is essential to retain legal counsel to ensure that all negligent individuals and entities are properly identified in these matters. An experienced Madera motorcycle accident attorney can help a family seek justice on behalf of their loved one.

First, an attorney will work to collect evidence associated with the incident before it is lost or destroyed over time. From there, a lawyer will work with expert witnesses to determine the appropriate value of economic and non-economic damages based on the facts and circumstances of the case. The attorney will work to build a strong case for maximum compensation on behalf of surviving family members.
