Seeking Financial Recovery in a Motorcycle Accident Case

A motor vehicle wreck involving a motorcyclist may be a life-altering event. It may leave the involved motorcycle rider with injuries they may not be able to fully recover from in addition to the mounting medical expenses. After a bad traffic crash, an injured motorcyclist may feel stressed and overwhelmed from watching bills pile up and being out of work due to recovery from crash-related injuries. If the motorcycle accident was the result of another party’s negligence, an injured biker may seek reimbursement for losses through a bodily injury claim.

Since every case is different, the value of each claim for compensation may differ due to the facts and circumstances involved. There are several factors that are involved in how much an insurance settlement or court-ordered award is. These include the severity of injuries, whether surgical intervention is needed, the value of long-term medical treatment needed, whether work was missed due to crash-related injuries, if accident-related injuries left a motorcyclist disabled and requires home/vehicle modifications, and more.

In wrongful death motorcycle accident cases, surviving family members may seek reimbursement for funeral services, mental anguish, loss of companionship, loss of financial support, and other related damages.
