June 2019 Stockton Community Event Calendar
Stockton is a vibrant, lively community all year long, but there’s something special about summertime in Stockton. Everyone is out of their houses, and can you blame them? There are places to see, exhibits to visit, food to taste… the list goes on and on! The best part is that there are so many local events, you can satisfy these needs while staying confined to the comfort of the city. There are too many community activities to list on a single post, but I have hand-picked some of the most unique and exciting events taking place in Stockton this June.
San Joaquin County Fair
Date: Thursday, June 13 – Sunday, June 16, 2019
Time: 3:00 p.m. – 11:00 p.m. (Thursday & Friday), 5:00 p.m. – 11:00 p.m. (Saturday & Sunday)
Location: 1658 South Airport Way, Stockton, CA 95206
Admission: $5 – $25 tickets
The SJ County Fair is coming back to the San Joaquin County Fairgrounds of Stockton! The county fair will offer fun for people of all ages with main stage entertainment, a carnival, concerts, live entertainment, food, livestock, agriculture, and a diverse set of exhibits. It will be open all weekend long to make sure everyone can come by. Bring a date, a friend, or a family member. There’s something for everyone at the county fair!
The Vietnam Moving Wall
Date: Thursday, June 20 – Monday, June 24, 2019
Time: All day
Location: 221 N. Center Street, Stockton, CA 95202
Admission: Free
A half-sized, moving replica of the Vietnam Veterans Memorial is going to be featured in downtown Stockton! Visiting the moving wall is free to the public, and it will be up and running all day for five days straight. The wall will be secured by on-site volunteers, both civilians and veterans. The staff can assist attendants in finding names, accompany individuals or families as they approach the Wall, or offer their presence as a “silent partner.” After sundown, the Wall will be illuminated by a golden light sheen. A special tribute ceremony will take place at 10 a.m. on June 22. This solemn and touching program is open to everyone.
The Stockmarket
Date: Saturday, June 22, 2019
Time: 10:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m.
Location: 445 W Weber Avenue, Stockton, CA 95203
Admission: Free
An outdoor marketplace including Central Valley’s top makers, music, vintage goods, and food. This is the 5th annual Stockmarket, with it being the first time at the Stockton Downtown Marina! A curated assortment of vendors will be showcasing their locally crafted goods, such as furniture, clothing, custom made leather goods, body products, jewelry, home and garden decor, and art. Food trucks and local artisan catering groups will be there to keep your stomach happy too!
