Basic CPR and First Aid

Admission: $36 – $67 online registration

This educational course is open to employees that have jobs requiring formal certification as well as individuals that would simply like to improve their health knowledge. Training courses are open to individuals of all age groups and are approved by EMSA and OSHA. Training is available for first-timers and those looking to renew their certification. Healthy Kids for Life

Date: Friday, June 8, 2018

Time: 3:00 p.m. – 5:00 p.m.

Admission: Free

Children in America have a concerning rate of obesity. About 17% of kids in the U.S. are considered obese, with an even higher percentage being considered overweight. This informative two-hour course emphasizes the importance of clean eating, portion control and physical exercise. Children will be taught how to make healthy lifestyle choices on their own in a way that is kid appropriate. The Healthy Kids for Life program uses an interactive method that combines instructor-led presentations, videos, and fun games to keep children engaged.

Community Garden Festival

Date: Saturday, June 9, 2018

Time: 10:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.

Location: 1739 South Union Street, Stockton, CA 95206

Admission: Free online registration

Quality over quantity is especially true in regards to food. The Faith Fellowship Christian Center want to increase access to healthy food and are currently working on building a new community garden. This event will include raffle prizes, live entertainment and more than 50 vendors selling handmade products such as jewelry, pottery and body care products. Funds will go towards the community garden, which will soon provide sustainable produce to benefit local families at little-to-no cost.
