Two-Vehicle Crash South of West Brannan Island Rd.

A two-vehicle crash on March 11 along State Route 160 caused at least one person to be transported to a hospital for treatment. The accident happened just south of West Brannan Island Road at Isleton shortly before 8:00 in the morning. The California Highway Patrol (CHP) reported that a Ford Escape and Toyota sedan were involved. Following the collision, both vehicles were pulled over to the side of the road just south of the bridge over the American River. Prior to authorities arriving at the scene of the two-vehicle crash, one injured party was transported to Kaiser Permanente Antioch for treatment and evaluation. The party’s vehicle was picked up by friends of the injured person. The accident is being investigated by the CHP to determine how it happened.

Accidents Along Two-Lane Roads

Two-lane roads are locations where accidents happen frequently. Two lanes may not be as well-maintained as larger highways and can have soft or narrow shoulders as well as missing signs. When warning signs are missing, a motorist may not realize that they are approaching a dangerous curve, hill, or another hazard. Drivers often take risks along these types of roads because they are less patrolled by police officers. Drivers speed, pass in spots where it may be unsafe, text and talk on cell phones or may be inebriated. This increases the risk of a two-vehicle accident, especially a head-on collision.

Seeking Help From an Experienced Lawyer After a Two-Vehicle Crash

A lawyer with experience can help an injured person obtain compensation for their injuries when they were caused by another individual’s negligent actions. We send our investigators to the crash site to uncover evidence that supports our client’s claim for compensation. This includes checking the police report for errors and talking to witnesses. If there are traffic surveillance or business cameras nearby, the investigators look to see if the accident was videotaped. Crash reconstruction is a vital part of an accident investigation. It shows how the vehicles were positioned before, during, and after the impact of a two-vehicle crash. In addition, looking for tread marks, signs of skidding, and other details can help determine whether a driver was speeding, tried to stop or not, or went out of control. Once the evidence is compiled, our lawyers work hard to build a strong case against the at-fault party and for our client. It is useful both in dealing with the insurance company or in presenting a case in court to recover compensation.

In the following video, Antioch car accident lawyer Ed Smith discusses what you should do if you become injured in a car accident:

Antioch Car Accident Lawyer

I’m Ed Smith, an Antioch car accident lawyer. Auto accidents can leave behind injuries that lead to high expenses. In my opinion, anyone who is injured through someone’s negligence should not have to bear the cost themselves. Give me a call at (925) 428-5220 or (800) 404-5400 for my free and friendly advice. I can also be reached by sending me a message online.

I’m proud to have worked as an injury lawyer for more than 38 years, helping those who were injured by negligence. Although I concentrate on any type of traffic accident, wrongful deaths, and injuries such as brain trauma, I also handle other types of cases.

Because it can be difficult for an individual to decide who to call for advice following an injury accident, it can be helpful to look over a lawyer’s client reviews and cases they have handled. To look over mine, I have attached the links below:

I am honored to belong to the National Association of Distinguished Counsel. This group awards membership to the fewer than 1 percent of lawyers they believe to uphold the highest standards in their legal practices. In addition, I am a California member of the Million Dollar Forum, which awards membership to those lawyers who have won in excess of $1 million for a client.
