Intersection Crash on Bell Road Happens in Front of Care Center

A two-vehicle intersection crash occurred in North Auburn on June 7, which resulted in minor injuries. The collision happened on Bell Road in front of the west entrance to the Bell Road Care Center around 2:46 p.m. The middle lanes of Bell Road were blocked by the collision, according to the California Highway Patrol (CHP), and involved a Chevy Colorado work truck and a Nissan Altima.

Minor Injuries Reported in Intersection Crash

Placer County Fire Department first responders arrived to assess injuries, which they determined to be minor. Tow trucks had to remove both of the vehicles from the scene. Determination of how the collision occurred is being handled by CHP traffic accident investigators.

Determining Liability in an Intersection Crash

In an intersection car accident, it is important to determine liability in order for the injured party to receive proper compensation. Liability in such a situation will usually be determined through a process of investigation, including collecting evidence such as photographs, witness statements and police reports. In addition, it may also involve analyzing traffic laws to determine who had the right-of-way or who was responsible for yielding to oncoming traffic.

The party at fault in an intersection crash may be held liable for any injuries and/or damage caused by their actions. Generally, the driver who failed to yield the right of way will be considered negligent and, therefore, responsible for the other person’s damages or injuries. Additionally, the driver who entered an intersection against a red light or stop sign will also be considered at fault and responsible for any resulting damages.

Recoverable Compensation in a Personal Injury Claim

A personal injury claim can provide recoverable compensation for many different types of damages. However, a number of factors influence what your compensation might be, so consulting with an injury lawyer can give you a better idea. In addition, the lawyer can help you by calculating your losses. These damages include:

  • Medical bills and other financial expenses associated with the injury
  • Any lost wages or loss of future income, which includes pension and insurance benefits, bonuses and more
  • Pain and suffering caused by the incident and resulting medical issues
  • Emotional distress associated with the accident
  • Loss of companionship or consortium if the injury resulted in a life-altering disability
  • Rehabilitative costs for physical and mental therapy such as post-traumatic stress disorder

By pursuing a personal injury claim, victims can seek both economic and non-economic damages related to the incident. These compensable damages are meant to help the injured party return as closely as possible to their pre-accident state. A personal injury lawyer can help victims of negligence pursue fair compensation for all the damages they have suffered.
