Lincoln Two-Vehicle Crash Occurs on Athens Avenue

Injuries were reported in a Lincoln two-vehicle crash near a casino on February 16. The accident occurred around 5:45 p.m. on Athens Avenue between North Foothills Boulevard and Industrial Avenue. One of the vehicles involved in the accident was a Thunder Valley Casino employee.

One Person Transported to Hospital Following Lincoln Two-Vehicle Crash

According to the California Highway Patrol (CHP) officers who responded to the collision, the crash involved a Kia sedan, which sustained moderate front-end damage. The other vehicle was a Chevy Traverse. One injured person was transported to Sutter Roseville Medical Center with undescribed injuries. The incident is under investigation by CHP traffic crash detectives to determine fault and how it occurred.

Responsibility and Proving an Injury Claim

While some drivers might readily admit they were responsible, others fear their insurance rates may increase and don’t want to admit fault. An accident attorney’s job is to prove that fault and collect the evidence that supports your claim. The injury lawyer determines fault by sending an investigator to gather the evidence, from traffic surveillance videos and witness accounts to performing accident reconstruction.

The lawyer uses the compiled evidence to build a strong case supporting your injury claim. The attorney then negotiates with the at-fault party’s insurance company on your behalf to reach a successful outcome. If the insurance company refuses to negotiate or pay what you deserve, the lawyer takes the case to civil court to reach a successful conclusion.

How an Injury Lawyer Assists You Following a Lincoln Two-Vehicle Crash

Evidence must prove they were at fault to place a compensation recovery claim against a negligent driver who caused your injuries. Compensation generally includes the following:

  • You can recover the medical expenses arising from your injuries in the two-vehicle accident. You shouldn’t worry about paying those costs from your hospital and physician bills to surgeries, tests and rehabilitative care. They are the responsibility of the at-fault party. If your injury has not been resolved at settlement, your lawyer can calculate the cost of continuing treatment and include it by using a medical expert.
  • If you lost wages because of your injury, those are recoverable, as well as your pension and insurance benefits and the value of other perks you usually receive. If your injury prevents you from returning to that job and you have to take one that pays less, you can recover the salary difference. Should permanent disability occur, you may recover your salary until retirement age.
  • You can recover compensation for the pain and suffering caused by your Lincoln two-vehicle crash. Pain and suffering involve physical trauma, of course. However, it also includes the emotional pain and suffering you experience, which is common following a traffic collision. Many people suffer from depression, anxiety, fear of riding in a vehicle, and even post-traumatic stress disorder. You can recover the cost if you require professional treatment for your symptoms.
