The Dangers of Crossing the Centerline

Head-on collisions are among the most severe types of motor vehicle crashes because of the combined force of impact. Even on rural roadways with relatively light traffic, a brief lapse in attention, fatigue, or a medical emergency can result in devastating consequences. Drivers should remain alert, avoid distractions, and stay within their designated lane of travel to help reduce the risk of these tragic collisions.
