Fiery Crash in Brentwood Injures Two People
A fiery two-car crash near Brentwood left two people injured and hospitalized as the collision resulted in major damage on the morning of Friday, December 27. According to the East Contra Costa Fire Protection District, the accident took place on Balfour Road, just west of Heritage Road, at about 7 a.m. A video on Facebook posted by local firefighters shows an SUV tilted over on its side in an empty, off-road field. Smoke and flames can be seen pouring out from beneath the engine. The other vehicle involved, a silver pickup truck, reportedly came to a halt halfway off the road. The ECCFPD says two people were evaluated at the scene and then transported to medical centers for injury-related treatment. No update was immediately available on either person’s condition.
