According to a report by CHP traffic officers, a man was operating a Kubota off-road vehicle eastbound on Lone Tree Road. A 57-year-old Manteca man was behind the wheel of his Ford F-150 headed west on Lone Tree Road. As the Ford approached the Kubota, both vehicles were involved in a traffic collision.

What You Should Know About the Wrongful Death Claims Process

The loss of a family member may be a devastating experience, causing emotional and financial challenges for those left to grieve the loss. Families of those who have lost their lives suddenly in motor vehicle accidents may be eligible to file wrongful death actions against at-fault parties to seek financial compensation. However, the process is not always straightforward.

There are various factors involved when determining the value of a wrongful death case, as each situation is unique. The amount of compensation awarded will vary on the extent of economic and non-economic damages, the evidence provided, and the amount of liability coverage available. Keep in mind that these cases are generally subject to a two-year statute of limitations, as outlined in the California Code of Civil Procedure Section 335.1. Therefore, it is essential to act quickly.

During the claims process, you may encounter challenges, such as learning the insurance company representing the other party is disputing liability for the incident, the at-fault party does not have liability coverage or not enough to pay for damages incurred, or the claim is denied despite liability being clear. In such situations, an experienced wrongful death attorney can help. For details on how to find the right lawyer to assist you and your family through the legal process, watch this video.
