Fatality Occurs in Auburn Boulevard Multiple-Vehicle Crash
A fatality occurred in a Sacramento multiple-vehicle crash on July 4 when one car exited the roadway and overturned. The collision occurred along Auburn Boulevard between Fulton and Morse Avenues around 7:05 a.m. California Highway Patrol (CHP) officers reported that multiple vehicles were involved, and two experienced rollovers.
Vehicle Exits Roadway in Multiple-Vehicle Crash
One of those vehicles exited the roadway and went through a fence, damaging a metal signpost and about 100 feet of chain link fence. One driver was taken to an area hospital for treatment of serious injuries.
Sadly, the other driver was killed in the crash. Officials have identified the decedent as 37-year-old Wilson Alexis Rivas of Sacramento. A GoFundMe page has been set up on behalf of their family to assist with funeral costs.
The investigation into the cause of the collision and clearing the scene took more than two hours. Investigators with the CHP traffic accident unit are determining how the accident happened.
